Asking The Right Questions

Asking The Right Questions

Requirement Analysis

What does the client need?

The client aims to transform how properties are sold in Australia by removing traditional brokers and enabling direct connections between buyers and sellers. Beyond transactions, the platform must foster a trusted real-estate community and offer property-related services as an additional revenue stream.

Market research

How are competitors doing it?

We analyzed leading real-estate platforms in Australia, including realestate.com.au and Zillow, along with global competitors such as Listing Loop and Housing.com. Insights from this research helped us understand which features users are already familiar with and how valuable they are in supporting their property-buying journey.

Problem solving

What problems are we solving?

Existing real-estate platforms in Australia feel outdated, cluttered, and difficult to navigate. Users are held back by poor UI, unreliable documentation, and indirect seller communication. This gap presents an opportunity to design a modern, intuitive, and trust-driven platform that actually helps users.

User journey mapping

What are possibilities for the user?

Mapping the user journey helped us see possibilities and new features. At this stage we were able to mentally visualize the challenges one would encounter along the way. Key moments in the journey are sharing sale agreements and signing documents via DocuSign, supporting users from discovery to closure.

Logo Story

Logo Story

HomeLink represents the idea of finding the right home or property. The logo brings this to life by combining a pointer clicking on a house with the form of a bookmark, symbolizing both discovery and saving a property in one simple mark.
